THISTLEDU

By the Late Graham Schofield

Currently owned by Graham Harrison

The setting is a fictional Scottish harbour where shipbuilding is one of the many trades.

There are many little scenes with lots of ‘whimsical’ activities taking place.

The interesting Heath-Robinson-ish presentation brings viewers back several times during the show. This is one of those layouts where something new seems to appear at each viewing and the layout is enhanced by the

lighting which brings things to almost reality.

At one exhibition, this layout suffered an electrical fault which prevented any running taking place, however in spite of this it still won the Best Scenic Layout trophy that weekend. Because of this it is currently under repair but will be available for exhibition later in the year.
