The four eras encompass BR late steam and green diesel initially, Blue diesel era and Sectorisation following, with modern era diesels and preserved steam bringing the layout right up to date.

BanesLeigh is a fictitious location somewhere within the Midland Region area. The name is a play on the name of a late friend and fellow club member.


The layout has been designed to portray four era’s with the substitution of some buildings, motor vehicles and of course rolling stock. It can be used with DC or DCC control which enables club members to run a very varied stock.
