full board, so I decided to do it half winter, half summer. The base is polystyrene covered in modrock then covered in scatter. With the exception of some of the snowy trees by Noch, most of the rest are second hand items which have been cleaned up and re-snowed. The log cabins are Vollmer and the figures are a mixture of Noch and Preiser. The layout is 57" x 31" and fits in my car and is self supporting and can be operated by one person and only requires one power socket.

This N gauge layout was built during the winter of 2016-17 simply because I had a spare board in the garage along with some Kato points and I had always wanted to do a snow scene layout. I already had some Kato rolling stock in both Swiss and Canadian outline so by having universal buildings on either scene I could run either one. I had lots of scatter materials including some Woodland Scenics snow but not enough to do a
